Beep...beep...beep...beeeeeeeeeep- a never-ending sound coming from the machine-made me realize that not every time luck is at my side.
Looking at the flat electroencephalogram or in short the flat line on the machine indicating that the patient has now reached brain dead, I froze.
"Hey what are your thoughts about the sunset?" she asked while leaning her head into his shoulder
He looked at her and smiled before answering her question "Well for me the sunset is an opportunity for everyone if they want to change themselves or cling into their past and do nothing but wait until they rot away" holding her hand before intertwining them.
"that's a long answer~ but for me, I would rather choose the sunrise than the sunset, wanna know why?~" she teased him while feeling the sleepiness of her body
he chuckled before nodding
"well for me the sunrise is like welcoming the new beginning, just like how the sunset greets the night, the sunrise greets the day" she exclaimed, excitement is evident in her eyes.
"isn't it the same thing? Both of them are similar to the prologue and epilogue of a story" He explained with great interest
"arent you thrilled to see what our epilogue is?" He asked but got no answer from the person beside him. He realizes the other has fallen asleep and chuckled before continuing on watching the sunset"
"This is our first date but we got to witness the sunset, well me actually you didn't wait and choose to sleep" He sighs but not in disappointment but in happiness.
He decided to look at her for the last time, smiling while happiness is seen in his eyes before saying something while his eyes close just like how the sunsets.
"Hey Hacel, I'm wondering what ending our story will be...I'm Excited" He said.
