Karl,the raccoon Poe has been keeping,is now a child of his owner and Ranpo. Being hit by an ability that turned the raccoon into a human,he finally has a chance to talk to his owners and 'parents' of sorts while they try to find the ability user to turn him back into the animal he was. Will they have the heart to turn him back after spending so much time with him like he was their actual child though?

The sky wept for the lack of light, strangled by dark clouds hovering over New York City. It was a rare moment where the streets weren't filled with people, most taking refuge from the wailing sky. A young man and a raccoon take the opportunity to amble on home, basking in the solace the rain has brought. A scream, child-like and terrified, tears through the solitude. The man snaps his head up, a single violet eye peeking through dark bangs, confused and slightly annoyed. The raccoon chitters loudly and leaps off of the man's shoulder. "Karl?! What-" The man reaches forward in an attempt to grab the raccoon before it could run off, missing by a hair. He curses under his breath and begins to run after the animal. The rain falls harder, nearly blinding the man. He nearly slides off of his feet as he turns a corner, almost catching Karl. Something, no, someone, slams into him. He falls back with a huff, landing hard on the flooded street. Both eyes are revealed as he looks down, frowning. His expression freezes at the sight of sunset-colored eyes, terrified and lost. Tiny hands, pale and bruised, covered in scars, reach up to grab his shirt. "Tasukete!" Nothing is the same since. - I've had this thought for a while, because I think Edgar deserves some love (I love both the author and this character SO much) and I also think Edgar and Atsushi would get along so well. I haven't read or watched much of BSD, but I am reading as I go, so if things are inconsistent... I'm blaming it on the canon divergence. :P Anyways, I hope you all enjoy! Updates will be posted on Thursdays.

He pauses thinking for a second before continuing his thought, "you could use some spiders in your life." "What? Are you saying I'm not patient enough?" Karl shakes his head, resting on of his hands on Sapnap's chest, "You are plenty patient," he taps his hand against Sapnap's skin and bones, he feels like if Karl just pushed a little bit more he would burst through all the muscle and all the tissue protecting his heart, if Karl pushes just a little bit more he could open Sapnap's chest cavity and devour what is truly his. Or Sapnap decides that he misses the pretty brunette boy who isn't his a little bit too much, so he agrees to go to a family event with him, not knowing he would get trapped in the web of fake dating and overbearing thoughts.Complete

Ranpo is the top of his class and Poe looks up to him but also dislikes him because he views it as some sort of rivalry. Meanwhile Ranpo hardly realizes that Poe exists. In writers class, Dazai gets to selects pairs to work on making a book together.
