On a hot summers day, The Mistress of Magic, Zatanna, has journeyed to Gotham in the aid of her old friend Bruce Wayne, AKA The Batman. Instead she finds Wayne Manor almost deserted, except for two people. Kate Kane, Bruce's cousin, who like Bruce, has taken up a moniker to fight justice. Also in the house is Luke Fox, the son of Wayne ENT CEO: Lucius Fox. Luke goes by Batwing these days as he too fights for justice. After some mingling, Zatanna can't help but feel attracted to both heroes. After Luke suggests a few drinks, things take a turn that Kate herself never thought she'd do.
