Eren closed the space between us, one hand sliding to my waist, the other twisting a strand of my hair around his fingers. His thumb dragged slow over the pulse in my neck, like he could feel exactly how fast it was racing.
"Am I making you nervous?" he murmured, voice low and dangerous.
I tilted my chin up, forcing a smirk I barely felt. "Would it make you feel better if I said yes?"
For a heartbeat, he didn't move. Didn't even blink. Then he leaned in, forehead brushing mine, so close I could feel the heat bleeding off him. The hand in my hair slid lower, curling lightly around the back of my neck, holding me there - not rough, but not soft either. He dipped his head, lips ghosting the shell of my ear, and I swore my whole body locked up.
"You have no idea how pretty you are like this, Trouble." he whispered, voice so low it barely made it past the space between us.
I hated how easy it was for him to break me.
I hated even more how much I wanted him to do it again.
