Alice has never been normal. She and her brother have never been "good" kids. They've been kicked out of multiple school for doing nothing. Bad things just happen to them.
Finally monsters start attacking them. They don't know why or how but they do. But to shelter them, they're taken to a safe place called 'Camp HalfBlood' for people like them. They're past their time to be claimed but, right away they need to become heroes.
When Persephone, the goddess of flowers, who has been coming to Camp HalfBlood to help the Demeter kids suddenly goes silent it seems like Alice and her brother, Barry, are the only ones able to bring her back for some reason.
With the help of their new found friends, Melissa, daughter of Poseidon, Jen, daughter of Apollo, Ethan, son of Zeus and Felix, a satyr, will they be able to save Persephone, without angering any of the gods?
Or will they start something bigger?
