Akako suddenly remembered his memories from his past life, however, the situation he was in wasn't the most desirable. He was currently in a small room alone and based on what he can remember it seemed like he was currently in a research lab. The only thing he knew from this life was somebody would give him a shot every day, and he was hooked up to a machine that collected his blood from his body. So all he knows in this life is that he has been stuck here for who knows how long, he didn't know who or what he was, he was in a research lab, and to top it all off he is inhumanly calm.

In Shadows of Night
I woke to a sudden breeze invading the warmth from the heavy blanket that caressed my skin. Here, alone with my thoughts, the still, calm quiet in the atmosphere is almost painful. I feel suffocated in the clingy, static air. In quiet, still moments like these, I can almost feel Him. I don't know who "Him" is, but I can feel his presence. It's almost calming, especially on fearful, anxiety fueled nights. Usually, he was the strongest when I had a nightmare. The nightmares weren't as common now, but, right after everything happened, I was having them every night. I'd wake up and swear I was drenched in blood, my eyes and lips sticky, my nose filled with the smell of iron and fuel. After everything, that's when Him first came. From there, he just never left. I can usually sense when Him is near. Today, though, his presence is stronger. I can almost feel Him next to me, weighing down the mattress. Some nights, I roll over and imagine how he looks, envision his smile or the sparkle in his eyes. He's never there and I'm left clutching to the thought that he exists, staring into empty air. Tonight, though, I swear I can reach out and touch him. Extending my hand gently, I sweep my hand out into the darkness and meet an inexplicable warmth. A scream rips from my lungs as hands cover my face and two icy blue eyes stare back at me, daring me to speak again. A soft cloth caressed my nose and mouth before I felt myself fade into bed. An ancient curse fused vampire and human blood in his ancestors. From that moment on, he and his lineage were destined to live a life far from normal. Nakamura Sato, now a teenager half-vampire (half-blood) living in Tokyo, knows his death is coming. He knows that he is a monster himself. However, he is also aware that other creatures of the night lie in wait. He's always envied his classmates at Chikara University, each born with unique powers. Sometimes, he wonders how he even got admitted, considering he has no powers of his own. At least not the kind the other students were born with. Not to mention, no one has a clue he's a vampire. He's always had a dream, a dream much like the others at his university. Become a hero and save their city from villains that lurk. Train to use the powers they were blessed with. Use them for good. However, he was always told that he didn't have time before his body would dissipate. A pair of parents and 3 children. One was an angel. Not a monster, but she was treated differently. Everyday, she got beaten and yelled at. That was why she locked herself in her room and no-one cared to bother seeing her as they treated her like trash. One did though, he was a handsome boy but a very ugly one at that, a traitorous monster you call. One day, as the little girl decided to exit her room, she found out he betrayed her for somebody's hand in marriage, someone that disliked the angel to the pit. Oh my. Poor little girl cried so much, that her rage and power took over. She had no use for her cute, gentle side anymore, and darkness clouded her mind. On the same day, she jumped out from the window. I stared at her with my eyes widened apart as I processed the whole story over and over again in my mind. I have a really sick feeling now. Not physically, but mentally.
