Opal has always been Opal. You would think she'd make up a new name for the new life she has, but she figures the one given to her by her oblivious parents is perfect for the new career of an exotic dancer.
It's not so hard to be a different person - she is good at pretending. Good at doing as she's told, and earning money from it, too. What is hard is forgetting about things.
