Ark Alegehra grew up in the small mountain town called Syphracia (SYPH-ra-cia) Growing up she hears several stories about the towns past, especially the origin of the towns name. It was named after the sword Syph, a sword that was once wielded by the warrior Sable. One Cold winter morning the town is ransacked by a gang called the sins, the sins are a group of men known for protecting the king and his court. The kingdom is slowly falling apart, while the king and queen are living a luxurious lifestyle, the villagers and townsfolk are starving. The sins kidnap Ark's brother Edge, the only other person in her family that is still alive. Ark's mother and father are slaughtered while trying to protect her and Edge, Ark gets away but before she throws her body off a water fall she sees her brother captured, she knows she cant save him, but that she will get her revenge soon enough.
