The magic that had just hidden me started to dissipate into a dim red glow as i looked around the room. It was huge and filled with people standing around and all of them were watching me. Looking straight ahead of me i felt a pull and my eyes connected with a giant man. At least 6' 4" he towered over the other man who seemed to be the High Priest, based on his robes. He had dark hair that was short on the sides and longer on the front and a scar on the side of his head above his ear. But what made it impossible to look away was his golden eyes. They were beautiful. My magic soared around me as our eyes connected and i zeroed in on him.

"King Nikolai Allistair," I said in a steady voice as i walked towards him, his eyes flashing at his name. "My name is Gwendolyn Ryoko. I have been chosen by the Gods to serve you as your Familiar." I announced stopping in front of him i looked up. I reeled in my powers, squishing them down so that my eyes were the only thing glowing. "It'll be a pleasure to serve you My Lord." I curtseyed low and then slowly stood back up to see him watching me, his eyes glowing a swirling gold color.

She was fierce, strong, calm, and Lethal and he loved the fire in her eyes. It reminds him of himself. ______Disclaimer_______ He watched as she stood in front of him, giving the five men a hard glare which left them shifting from one foot to the other. She never ceases to amaze him. How can a beautiful girl be so cold? He asked himself secretly. "My King wants to have a chat with your master, in peace," she said with the same cold emotionless tone with a dark aura surrounding her. An aura that he has never felt around her in before. "Our King has no business with your asshole of a king," one of the men spat angrily. The next second she was standing close to him with her dagger on his spin. "Don't disrespect my king. I won't mind castrating you before ripping out your particulars. One more word of disrespect thrown at my king and I will make sure I add you to an art collection," she warned, her voice coming out darker than he expected which made a shiver run down his spine as the guard nodded with a fearful expression. "Now, lead the way. Try anything smart and I won't hesitate to slice you up," she muttered motioning for the king to come with them. He followed with the same cold expression. He has never met a woman as strong as her in his entire life and this female has his heart without knowing. She's The King's Guard.

Before I begin, I just want to say that this story does include some mature themes. I will also give out a warning a chapter prior to these scenes. Getting that out of the way, let's go onto the story description... *This book contains explicit content* *EXTRACT FROM THE BOOK* I stared at him, cooking and whistling, something that I could not do, or should I say, wasn't bothered to do. I decided to move away and to try and find an exit but I didn't even take one step back when I heard his voice. "Princess? Is that you?" I saw him raise his head before shooting his eyes onto me. The sudden gaze caused to heart to race while it froze my body as if I have turned into ice. I felt the fear engulf my body, eating me inside out. "You aren't scared of me... Are you?" he asked me, I sensed the envy in his voice. That mixed with his harsh tone caused a wave of goosebumps to course through my body. I wanted to begin by asking him where was I? Why was I here? Why was he here... I wanted to ask him, but I couldn't, the fear was just all too much for me. "Come on... Speak to me... Ask me..." he began. "Ask me 'why am I here' and all of that crap... Entertain me with your fear." I saw him slowly gripping a knife that was on the countertop, with his eyes still on mine. The sides of his mouth slowly began tilting upwards. All the bitterness and the cold, it was all so visible in his eyes. I looked at him in horror, noticing him as he took his first steps towards me. "Talk to me... Because this might be the only time you will ever be able to talk, " he said this sentence in such a calm tone, it caused me once again to shiver with goosebumps. "W-what do you mean...". Never in my life have I stuttered, until then.

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. She was prepared to see death, prepared to inflict death upon others without mercy or remose. She was prepared to do her job which the Facility had given her. But now it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Instead she focuses on keeping her friends alive.

"Well, I am not every women." I snapped. I should never looked at him. "I will make sure that regret bringing me here." I snapped coldly. He looked unfazed. "Are you challenging me?" His voice was masculine. Manly. "Priscilla." He chuckled as he looked at me. I tried to free my hand. The rope was tied very hard. "You were the only women who caught my eyes, baby girl." He said as he placed his hand on my cheek. "My bad luck." I muttered under my breath. "I warned your mother." He continued. "I told her to hide you. "The fuck you are leaving me." He snapped and growled at his mate. She was calm as she was ever be regardless of his snapping. She sighed and turned around to leave without saying something to him because it was worthless. There was no point in talking and especially to him. He grabbed her arm before she put one step. "Where do you think you are going Ara?" He growled so loudly as everyone shuddered watching their interaction. She quickly remove his hand as anger rolling off of her in waves. "Don't. Touch. Me. So you think I will live here and watch you mate and breed that female." She snapped at him. "She meant nothing Ara." He said after a minute. She laughed, literally laughed but without any humor. "That's why you were fucking her in your office just a minutes before, don't you?" "It was a mistake." He tried to reason with her. "But in your case mistakes happened in more than one time. And they said mistakes happened only one time." She said sarcastically. "I don't need her. I need you." He said again desperately. "Lies. All lies coming from your mouth. I feel disgusted just by looking at you, let alone talking to you. And you said you need me? Ha. Very funny. You don't need me and I sure as hell don't need you. This female behind your back is more enough than me. Breed her, mark her or fuck her. I DON'T FUCKING CARE." "I am sorry. I am really fucking sorry." He said brokenly as kneeling on the ground. A small laugh escaped from her lips. "Isn't it too late for that mate?" And she left just like that while single tear rolled down her cheeks. He had made mistakes. Mistakes that will cost him everything. He knew he had lost her and this time completely. She was broken. Again. He did break her, repair her just to break her again leaving a broken shattered woman but strong willed. ---------------------------------------------------- The cruel, sadistic Rogue Alpha and his caring, lovable Witch mate. --Completed-- "Why are you following me?" "I am free to roam anywhere within Barracks, am I not?" "Aldaire will be displeased if he sees us together." He grins, leaning in close to whisper in my ear. "Will he? Last time I checked, you two are merely playing a part." I place a finger on his lips, acutely aware of our proximity yet taken aback by it all. "Don't utter such things. They can hear you." "So it is true. I wasn't present that day, but Himley made sure to fill me in." There's no need to persist with the charade, but if I concede too readily, I'm not fulfilling my role adequately. This is going to be challenging, especially given his annoying demeanor. "I don't know what you're talking about. Aldaire is a noble man." "Then how do his lips taste?" Hiccup! "That is none of your concern, sir." "Why do you take offense? It was an innocent question." "It was not! I am inebriated. Why are you pursuing me? And be honest this time. If you intend to kill me like the rest, I'll make things easier for you." His silence prompts me to look up. His lips are drawn into a thin line as he glares at me. "Do you hold me in such low regard?" "I don't know you," I retort. "That is why I am here. We can acquaint ourselves with each other." His laughter reverberates in the empty space, prompting a grin from me. It makes me blush at the thought. Perhaps it's the alcohol causing me to hallucinate, but the idea of someone vying for my affections is amusing. "I relish challenges, Lady Leizabeth. Give me some time, and you'll see." "I don't understand why." "Because you are a fascinating woman. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew I had to get to know you." **In the journey of life, we stumble upon love twice. The first shatters your heart into countless fragments; the second conjures up the power of the universe to piece it back together. **

Power and money didn't really interest Serena, instead she wished for a life of peace and safety. Barely able to afford a bus pass, it was mere chance that she saw a man in handcuffs being escorted by police. And he saw her. Several groups wanted to control him to suit their own purposes, but he could not be controlled by force. He only wanted one thing - and it was her. I will be your heart, if you will be my shield. * * * Sneak Peek * * * I pitied the man, although with that many cops around him, he was likely quite dangerous. Who needed 30 police officers to supervise one guy who was likely in handcuffs and leg shackles? I absentmindedly watched the man walk down the gauntlet between the rows of officers. It was as if I couldn't look away. He paused and looked around. His brilliant glowing blue eyes seemed to meet mine across the vast distance. I couldn't even blink as his eyes seemed to hold mine. The trees of a park broke our locked gaze as the bus kept on driving. I took a deep breath, suddenly realizing that I had stopped breathing the moment our eyes had met. I had never seen such blue eyes before - and they glowed! A shiver ran through me. I had been too far away to even determine the color of the police officers' hair, let alone know the color of the man's eyes. My eyes watched the trees, hoping for a break in them so I could see the man again. I had no such luck. --------------------------------------------------- Please note that this story has nothing to do with any of my other stories.
