Or does it have anything to do with that little girl Eli never let out of his mind. When the few people of magic origin that are left on the mainland go missing, Eli starts looking for answers. Cayenne, main character of this story, (also in her POV) starts dreaming in a land called Dream and about these creatures called Dreamers with one power each.
