Thanks to the evidence Ben uncovered in his investigation of the Croatoan, the CIA has tracked his nemesis, Murray Hill, to Central America, where they believe he is boarding the world's biggest cruise ship, The Emperor of the Seas, on its maiden voyage around the world.
The CIA and MI6 want to find out what Murray is plotting, but to do that, they need to send in the person who knows Murray Hill the best: Ben Ripley. Only Ben can't be sent in alone. So he'll be posing as part of a family, with Alexander and Catherine Hale as his parents, Erica as his sister, and his best friend Mike as his brother.
At first, it sounds exciting to have a mission on the most glamorous ocean liner on earth, but as usual, nothing goes according to plan. There is action, danger, and plenty of surprises as Ben and his team quickly find themselves in hot water.

He's even more heartbroken when Erica is going with Joshua, who is a complete jerk, especially to Ben and his friends. Ben suspects she shouldn't trust Joshua, and she pushes him away saying he's a bad friend. Just when he's as hurt as he thinks he can take and wanting to end it all, Erica comes in crying. Joshua cheated on her like Ben predicted. Ben wants to kill Joshua for hurting her so bad. Will there be a big fight? Erica apologizes but will their friendship heal, or maybe even grow to be more than just a friendship? I do not own these characters, Stuart Gibbs does, though the plot is mine.Complete

Life has moved on from the past thrilling adventure that Ben and Erica had undertook with newborn Emma. Ben and Erica have settled down nicely into jobs and were focusing on raising their child to be the next superspy in the Hale legacy. Can the Hales figure out their mysterious foe that no one seems to know about? Will they all survive? When they all meet outside a coffee shop one day, what happens when they find out that there is a new organization just as evil as SPYDER, but more powerful?
