The year is 1827. Due to a case of mistaken identity, a young poet named Victor Hugo finds himself running for his life from the police, an assassin and a secret society. With the help of a mysterious gypsy girl, he uncovers a conspiracy that challenges his beliefs and loyalties. Inspired by historical events that ultimately changed France forever and influenced Victor Hugo's literary works such as 'The Last Day of a Condemned Man', 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' and 'Les Miserables'.
