"I don't want to become a mother."
This line is a taboo for women in some parts of the world, and so was for Khusi Mukherjee. At the age of 25, independent and single, she wanted to live her life according to her rules. But everything changed when she met Bhaskar Goswami, a potential groom selected by her mother.
They met, talked, liked each other and got married. Sounds like happily ever after, isn't it?
But no, there's a small twist to it. Khusi never wanted to bear a child, and that's what made her a pariah in Indian society.
Will Khusi be able to endure the pressure of her decision? Will she keep her head high and stick to her beliefs, or bend to the social norms? What will happen when Bhaskar comes home one day, with an absurd proposition and a revelation, that could change Khusi's life all together? She has to face the biggest challenge of her life, her husband's child.
What new surprises and people awaits her, and would it be for good or will it shatter her forever?

Sakshi had just stepped into her nineteenth year. She was not like other girls - instead, she was very timid, shy, and quiet, with a heart as pure as holy water.
She grew up in a family of five, where every day she saw her father hurting and torturing her mother without any reason. Watching this pain at home, Sakshi slowly lost all her dreams about marriage and love. To her, marriage was not something beautiful - it was something to fear.
One day, without asking for her opinion or even telling anyone else, her father fixed her marriage with a man a few years older than her. Hearing this, Sakshi felt her world fall apart. Fear gripped her heart - what if her future husband turned out just like her father? What if her life became another cage of pain and sadness?
Terrified and helpless, Sakshi stands at the edge of a new life she never asked for.
What will happen to her now?
Will her husband bring her happiness, or will history repeat itself?
