Cruel Jewel

I felt my world crash me.
I scream. I screamed until my lungs felt empty, until all the frustration left me, until my mind became clear, until I could not feel anything.
Numb. I sat on the grass hugging my knees to my chest and resting my head on my knees.
I felt a lump forming in my throat and tears threatened to fall. I look up at the sky.
Freedom, I wanted to run away. I wanted to live the way I wanted, I wanted to make the choice in my life, but here I sat following orders.
The tears vanquished and I promised myself that no tear will be shed and no dreams or hopes will be crushed. I promised myself that if they wanted a marriage then I am going to give them a marriage to remember. I am going to become what they feared the most, I am going to be a mortal.
