She couldn't read him either. His face was a mirror of her own, they both we're reflections on the past. Before the world dulled their shine. It took everything of her to keep the lump out of her throat as she stared at him, everything to keep away the feelings, the memories and emotions. They both taught themselves a long time ago not to live, not to feel and to chase every emotion away by fear and hate. Sad part was it was 5 years later , 5 years of they both being a walking corpse of life, of being alive but not truely living, they both wouldve qualified for a grim reeper or death angel. And now? Erkenci Kuş: Broken Promises
Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!Complete
