It's the year 1810. Sixteen year old Adelaide, a well-behaved and educated damsel, is the only child of Duke of Norwall. Always obedient, polite and never rebellious, she is the pride and the joy of her father, who never misses an opportunity to show her off to his acquaintances, other members of upper class.

Her life turns upside down when she meets Howard, a man from the working class who, once again, proves her true love is real.

As she turns seventeen, she realizes her parents had already arranged marriage with the Duke of Caistor. Although some girls would do anything to be in her position, Adelaide is devastated by the news.

She believes in true love and finding the perfect one, but has no other choice than to obey her father's decision.

Since it's strictly prohibited, is there any chance for their love?
Will it be able to survive the constant judgement of others?
