Andy Voitenko notices things that others don't. Nothing paranormal, he just sees the laws of physics in action. He's always been socially awkward. And that makes him a target for a group of scientists who want the smart ones. He never expected wings, never expected scales, and never expected aliens that want to kill him and everyone he knows. Terry Alfred Lawrence is just a normal navy officer, until he's presented with an offer he can't refuse - a place in a bunker deep underneath the Canadian Shield to survive a coming invasion. He's chosen half because he knows how to lead, and half because he knows how to learn. He never expected dissent, never expected oligarchy, and never expected the difficulties of keeping a human settlement in a hostile environment running. When their paths cross, and when the alien threat comes for another shot at Earth, they will shape the future in ways nobody could have expected. The Nature of Change was inspired by (and is set in the universe of) Upon Wings of Change, by @CrystalScherer. And thanks to @wingedalpha for her work on the cover art.

What are wings for if not for flying with dragons in the realm where islands float in the sky? The life of order and monotony is not enough for a winged demon like Ansgarde. When society rules suffocate her, she escapes to fantastic dreams of dragons and epic quests. If only someone qualified took on the challenge to break the Dragon's Curse, her dream would come true - she would share the sky with a dragon. After all, the prophecy says that a demon like her would free the ancient race. But no one takes the legend seriously. No one but her. *** This book has been featured on the following Wattpad reading lists at one time or another: - Open Novella Contest: 2020 Shortlist, - Fantasy: Epic Fantasy, High Fantasy, and Featured Fantasy Stories, - High Fantasy: Wonderland, - YA Fantasy: Magical Creatures, - Watt-Dragons: Legendary Creatures, - Magic: A Magical Journey, - Secret Treasures: Fantastical Realms, - Warrior Goddess: Fantastical Warriors, - Horns and Halos: Underworld - Demon stories. 2nd place winner in The Dream Awards 2021 hosted by @TeamOfDreams. *** No trigger warnings.
