When something tragic happens it's often said we lose a piece of ourselves. How far would you go to find these lost parts of yourself in order to be whole again? **This book is for the Open Novella Contest 2020. Welp, we made it onto the longlist, which is like getting the bronze award. Not too bad for a first draft and a first time. I'd like to edit and release a print edition of this book soon. Any feedback is appreciated.

The main character fell for a popular boy in their high school. For multiple months, the main character has been hiding themselves from this boy, Tal, because they've been scared of what Tal may think of them. After a while of waiting and hiding, Tal finally notices the main character and automatically falls in love with them; they had love at first sight. Slowly this major change affected the main character, their everyday life, and experiences they haven't had before. Their friends leave them and the main character is left with Tal and a few of his friends. The main character doesn't notice all of the changes they have had, and is left alone after something big happens to Tal.
