In the beginning, there was only two.
The light and the dark.
Being gods, the two claimed different parts of the world. 
The dark got the night and the world below the surface, while the light got the day and everything on the surface.
When the dark left to his realm, seven holy flames appeared.  They had untold power, and before she started making her people, the light hid them away across the world in hopes that  no one would try to abuse their power.
A thousand years passed, and the dark began to get jealous of the lights prosperity, and began to prepare for war.
The light sensed this, and also began to prepare.

The story starts off a bit lighthearted and around some important character arcs, especially for Tord, it gets more emotional and complicated which may not be fancied by many readers. Fret not though, more yandere is yet to come. It's just Tord's decent into villainous behavior.
