It was always her.
It has always been her.
It didn't matter if she was in the kitchen or doing errands, it didn't matter if she was sewing or if she was sorting through the books after he had one of his tantrums, she has always been there, by his side. Without him knowing that she even existed.
Or maybe it was exactly that fact that made her feel safe. The fact, that he didn't know of her existence, because they would have clashed like two meteorites and it would have ended in her not only losing her tongue, but also her head.
Or so she thought.
It has been years since Fayre started working at the palace of Meridian. Not wanting to lose her head, she keeps a low profile. Until one day. She would have never thought that one necklace could make such a huge impact on her life.

It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol. They are, however, not mates, and as such, he knows that any romantic relationship between them is doomed to fail. To not risk losing her, he therefore does all he can to fight his own feelings.
