Emma Blake is extremely smart, quiet and driven to do well and get away from her family. She is given the opportunity halfway through her junior year to transfer to the other high school (Golden Valley High) on the rich part of the city in order to get more opportunities for college.
Tristian Johnson, Golden Valley Highs heart throb, star football player and arrogant asshole starts to pick on Emma once she arrives. But Tristan struggles in school and his failing grades threatens to get him kicked off the team.
And when Emma gets asked to tutor a peer in help she wasn't expecting on getting Tristian as a student and Tristan wasn't expecting to fall for her.
Blake Hill's gotten into more trouble then he cared to admit. As the resident bad boy, he's gotten detention for smoking, fighting, cussing teachers and more. Never in his life though, would he imagine himself to become a cheater as well.
Yet, when he's found kissing another girl at prom, one of the most important nights in a senior's life, he can't find it in him to care. Instead, he finds his relationships starting to crack and his future looking dimmer then ever.
One's thing for sure, stuck between the memories of past and present, Blake's going have to do some self reflecting to find the strength to move on, figure out what his future holds, and maybe find new love with someone who accepts him, flaws and all.
