While this cure didn't do what these scientists intended, it did change the world as we know it, giving the people in the world Gifts. Our story follows Reilly a prodigy when it comes to magic, born into wealthy descendants of the scientists in the 21st century. She is set to inherit her fathers' fortune, but little does she know the dark secrets her family holds.

When twins Skylar and Jake were born, their scientist parents used them as an experiment. Each was injected with a dose of serum that would supposedly make them much stronger, smarter, simply better than other kids. But somebody added a chemical that changed the effects of the serum. As a result each twin got only half of the traits they were originally supposed to get. Skylar got the strength and speed while Jake got the brains.
