I spun on my heel catching the eye of the girl i trusted the most, her eyes matched mine as they brimmed with tears although a smirk etched across her face. She was anything but sorry. I had grown up and played dolls with her, cried on her shoulder and confided in her and yet here she was before me, joining them. Joining the same people she stood so strongly against, now I understand that was all an act.
"No..." My voice broke, shattered as though it was made of glass. "W-with him?! After what he did?!" I could feel a fire in my gut and as I charged towards her only did he come and swoop her away in a swift movement, a cloud of black smoke taking their place.
She could move on, but I wouldn't.
