Alena, a demigod who roams around the earth, searching for a purpose in life, until she met Pitch. They slowly fell in love and because of Alena's partial mortality, she gave birth to twin children.

Cethin and Vera were born healthy and happy. Growing up, Cethin learns about nightmares and learns to control it. Vera, however tries figuring out why she can't create nightmares and questions herself if she belongs in the family.
