A dystopian young adult novel involving romance, secret experiments on human subjects, and a group of teenagers' will to survive. On the way to take her placement test she sees a man take a gun out of his bag. Panicked, she reaches into her purse for her phone to call 911. Instead she takes out a gun. She doesn't know where it came from or how it got there, but when the man turns his gun on her she shoots him. It would be easy for Evita to forget about where the gun came from and let her life return to normal, but its mysterious appearance won't stop nagging at her. When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.

Hannah is adopted by a Flawed family when her birth parents choose their social standing over their daughter and endures a life of struggle, hunger and service. One day Hannah is escorted to the regional government office and told that the Consultant who delivered her, who labelled her Flawed got it wrong! Now, she is being relocated back to her birth parents, to live as one of the Ninety-Five- all medically and legally judged as perfect. Entering this new life Hannah has an impossible decision to make which puts not only hers, but the lives of everyone she cares about at great risk. Cypur is held back from advancing in school because of a magick defect. It shouldn't matter, but the school board threatens him with exile. He blames his biological parents whom he has never known and wants to find them. One day, he meets a raven Halfhuman named Wescherlie who is a rarity that can fly without transforming into a bird like the rest of her kind. While rescuing her from bounty hunters, Cypur loses control of his magick, killing a male on accident. Now, police are after him, but he's innocent! Cypur makes a deal with Wescherlie. He will help her find her lost family, and she will help him find proof for innocence. But the journey is filled with dangerous, greedy Sorcerers who want Cypur's magick or who want to turn Wescherlie into taxidermy. After her village is destroyed by a powerful daemon, young Naomi sets off on a journey of revenge. Along the way, she meets and befriends fellow travelers, all of whom hide a great darkness in their hearts. Together the group ventures through the kingdom of Cantien and grow slowly closer together and closer to their goal. Accomplishing the impossible, killing a daemon. This story was written for Nanowrimo 2021. It has not been edited nor beta read therefore it is most likely filled with grammar and spelling mistakes, my apologies in advance. This story is also incomplete and most likely will never be completed since I lost the document that had the plot outline on it. But if someone really wants me to finish it I will, I just don't have the time right now. The second half of this story was written after I was in a bus crash and had whiplash so... be nice

This was my Nanowrimo project for 2014, and my first time being a winner. Because it was written in such a short time, it is not well-written and the plot is very poor. I do not plan on editing it, and only have it here so that I can hopefully look back and see how far I have come.
