Jacob Anthony is an eighteen-year-old boy with a nice life in New York. He was born into a large, wealthy family that now consists of two boys and three girls. He also has many aunts, uncles, and cousins all of whom are wealthy and successful. Jacob comes from a long line of successful relatives. The reason for Jacob's family's success is his fathers' multi-million dollar automobile company.
Even though Jacob has very wealthy parents, he is not spoiled. Jacob is a hard worker who does excellent in school and athletics. He also has an excellent social life.
Just like his relatives, everything is going well for Jacob. He is halfway done with his senior year of high school and has accomplished many great things in his high school career. To add to his list of accomplishments, he has just been accepted into a university with a major scholarship. Everything is going as planned for Jacob and he has his future figured out. Or at least... he thought he did.
Suddenly, Jacob is torn away from his nice, peaceful life and thrown into chaos after arriving home one morning and finding his entire family brutally murdered. He later learns that all of his other relatives are also being murdered. The FBI race to try and save the remaining Anthony family members but they are too late. Jacob is the last remaining Anthony. He becomes paranoid and isolates himself from the world.
A few years later, after things begin to calm down, he is visited by a demon who warns him that his life is in serious danger. It also tells Jacob about his strong connection with demons due to an ancestor of his named Agnes, who was a witch. Why does this demon want to help Jacob? Why is he being hunted? Will he survive all of the challenges and enemies he may face?

The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. Its Leah again here to rant about how obsessed I am with the new kid from NYC. He has such a bad boy vibe, not to mention all the rumors floating around town about why he got sent here. We don't get a lot of excitement around here in this small town. I spend most of my time as a ball of anxiety, but painting helps. My little sister Mia is like therapy when she sits down and paints with me. She is such a little angel. It seems like there's Never anything exciting, until the one day there was. After that day it became ritualistic and the secrets started to come out one traumatic event at a time Sincerely, Leah Brauner. This story is about a high school girl that has a crush on the new kid that just came to town from New York with a dark backstory. Not only does she have a new crush in town but there are a bunch of other secrets that have been coming to light with every sunrise the town sees. This town might be small but boy is there a lot of drama. The town police don't know what's worse, the splayed out animals or the missing high school girls. Leah doesn't know what to think as the town she knew as her home falls to shambles. Will she fall with the town or will she run away with the mystery man she has a secret obsession with.
