Glory is a mistake. Unlike the other dragonets she was raised with, no prophecy foretold her hatching. Fate has no plans for her, and everyone around her makes sure she knows it. Even when she tries her hardest to become the smartest, the fiercest, and the bravest, no one acknowledges her skills. Why? Because as a RainWing, she will never, ever have a place in the prophecy. But when danger threatens, Glory sees an opportunity to escape her confinement and start a new life. Abandoning the only home she ever knew, she flees into the wilds of Pyrrhia alone, betrayed by the only dragons she ever trusted. If only scars as deep as hers could heal easily.

Now working as an assassin, Glory must decide just how far she will go for vengeance and how much betrayal she can forgive. Especially once she realizes that having a destiny might not be so impossible after all....
