It's common knowledge to Inklings and Octolings that Humans are dead and gone. They've searched the deepest parts of the earth, the highest cliffs, and everywhere in between. Well, except the ocean, but the humans aren't hiding there.
After the fall of TarTar, a distress beacon was engaged, sending a signal of unknown purpose. Many saw it, few took heed.
But high beyond the edge of the atmosphere, a lot of people took notice... especially when the sweet stasis of Cyrogenic Preservation was suddenly and abruptly ended.
Now, the humans wander in confusion in their space station, trying to come to terms with Mother Nature and all that she had been doing while they slept... But it is not like humans to sit idly by. They're coming... and they're coming with questions that they expect answers to.

Each one more destructive than the last, yet humanity would never learn from their faults. On October 23rd, 2077, the end arrived, not with victory, but with fire. Nuclear storms tore across the globe, cities crumbled into dust, and the oceans rose to swallow what little remained. Humanity perished, its monuments drowned, its legacy buried beneath ruins and ocean. From the drowned world arose new species. Inklings, Octolings, and other marine-born kin emerged from the abyss, inheriting the planet humanity had ruined. One of the few humans that was inserted into a cryo pod and went on to wake up on this new, new world. But he and the other humans were tasked to carry the legacy of humanity. He was "fished" out of the water by Capt. Cuttlefish and "Shell". Years later, he grew up to be the co-leader of Squidbeak Splatoon. But then the war came. He became a hero by saving Cuttlefish by being cornered and killed but he sacrificed himself for the win of the 2nd Great Turf War. Not too long after the war, he was dug up by the "CEO" of the F. A. O Agency. And became a valuable asset for them. Along with his new friend "Cross", they moved to the Plaza to live a normal life. But do they? Follow the adventures of Brooks and Cross. As they try their hardest to keep their identity secret. And will Brooks can finally stop reminiscing the past trauma? We won't know until we find out. Shall we start? It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.
