The Dragon Ember

Calvin is a boy out of time, waking after hundreds of years of hibernation into the 21st century. You see, Calvin is no ordinary boy. He is a dragon shapeshifter, able to transform between a mighty dragon and man. He is no ordinary dragon, though. He is the Dragon's Ember, the race's last hope to continue surviving. Thing is, he never wanted the job, but on the night he decided to leave he discovered a plot to destroy the dragons once and for all. He fled but was overcome by his master. Now, two hundred years later with all of the dragons dead, and being hunted by Amara, his old mentor, Calvin must do everything he can to survive.

Lana Chasseur is your typical Latinx teenage girl. She loves nature. She goes to school, does homework, has friends, and she's constantly pushed away because of the color of her skin in her home of Northern Maine. She's also watched every day by her guardian Reed since her adopted mother is always away. She lives a pretty typical life, at least until she finds a secret deep in the woods, a boy who can turn into a dragon! Now her own life seems to be falling apart, and secrets begin to show themselves, tearing her family apart. Now Lana must choose, will she help the dragon-boy, or stay with her family.
