━ꕥ "Legends said that these caves are magical. Supposedly, if you touch the wall, you can feel the legendary lovers that once hid in here before tragedy took their lives-"
"I don't believe in these kind of nonsenses."
Cautiously i step forward, daring to reach out my fingers to touch the cave wall. "You don't believe in legends or love in general?"
"Neither." He says, his voice low and my head snaps around to look at him.
"It's only a story made up, probably, and the only people who touch these walls, carving their names into these marvellous stones only to have their lives destroyed afterwards- are fools."
I laid my entire hand on the cave wall, listening to him talking with such a serious tone makes me wonder if these caves actually hold some sort of power; or am i just being one of those silly people who uncritically place their trust in written words;
I hear his steps until he stands next to me and reaches his hand up, his fingers grazes delicately to some engraved letters etched onto the stone.
And i read his name in big, bold letters.
"One day i was one of those fools-" He says and levels his gaze at me. Almost as if he's not looking at me but through me.
" - i sneaked into the cave and etched my name into this stone. I was like you, i had hope."
Suddenly i feel very foolish and i squeeze my eyes closed.
My eyes shot open and i stride backwards, breaking the connection of whatever that is.
