Maybe this is going to be a good year. Sure, these last few months have been a little... dramatic and soap opera-esque. But still, it can't get much worse than that.
It can only go up from here.
Right?
Best to not tempt fate, huh.

New Year, New Attitude, at least that's how Cassie Langer wants to start her year. After moving on from a quite frankly bumpy relationship with the school's alpha male Ryan Park, Cassie is settling into a new romance with her longtime best friend Chad Hills. With her new beau Chad, her twin sister Hope, and her best friend Naya by her side, Cassie wants to take every day as it comes and go with the flow, ridding herself of the overthinking and anxiety that plagued her last year.
But if she thinks she's going to have it easy, well... she's fooling herself. Throw in a crazed stalker, a rivalry, PTSD, nightmares, drugs, and an ex-boyfriend's phone, and she's about to realize that what comes up... must come down.
Forewarning, this book is definitely a lot heavier than Book #1 and contains drug use, sexual scenes, violence, etc. BUT, despite all of that, it still keeps the same fun, light humor that came with the first book, so don't be too put off! This story as well as the series as a whole blends silly humor, cuteness, and also some pretty dark storylines, if you're into that kind of stuff.
Also, this book makes use of music, so every chapter has a song that correlates with the story being told. I do not own any of the music or song lyrics used and every song used is linked in the chapter, all rights belong to the artists and composers :)
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
