The reasons and means behind Zahra Lyons' entrance into the Love Island Villa on Mallorca are not exactly orthodox. Her friends and family set her up, and by a twist of fate she becomes one of the chosen few single islanders looking to find fun, love, or whatever else a person would come here for. Her dignity can't handle that she is doing this; her pride won't let her leave.

But as much as she lies to her fellow islanders about why she's here, Zahra lies to herself about why she stays. The first few days on the island seem absolutely futile, but new islander Lucas Koh's delayed arrival catches her interest, and her promise to come doesn't seem so terrible anymore.

As Zahra and Lucas dance along a dangerous line of flirtation, Zahra has no choice but to be honest with herself: her arrival may not have exactly been her choice, but how and when she leaves-- and everything that transpires in between-- is her decision to make.
