GHOST 👻 (A Paranormal Romance)
Frizzy haired and overweight, sixteen year old Elizabeth Summers hears ghosts. She also reads people's auras and sees when something bad is headed their way. Unfortunately, she can't choose which ghosts visit her psychic hotline or when her paranormal abilities are triggered. Since dealing with otherworldly spirits won't help her gain social acceptance in her high school, she hides her psychic gift. Reluctantly, Elizabeth starts exploring her psychic skills, and Dresden's paranormal activity when handsome Australian loner, Dylan Grant, asks her to help him find out what happened to his missing sister. As the summer heats up, Dylan begins to see Elizabeth in a different light than the overweight, psychic girl he corralled for her paranormal abilities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Excerpt from Ghost) "There's a spell on this book." Madame Regina frowns, her brow creasing in concern. "No, not a spell. It's a curse!" Alarmed, I feel the temperature of the room plunge as our breaths collectively plume into the frigid air. The unnatural cold feels as if someone's opened a large freezer door. I can't stop shivering. Madame Regina makes a strangled cry of distress, her voice growing urgent. "Demons are trying to come through. Whatever happens, don't break the circle." Dylan and Jerry look terrified as the delicate tea cup sitting by Jerry's hand starts rattling uncontrollably. Glancing down, I check to see if he's touching the china, but both of his hands are lying flat on the table. Everything's shaking as if we're in a seismic earthquake. "In the name of Christ, I exorcise you from this room!" Madame Regina shouts the command as the feet of the table rises two inches, then crashes back to the floor. Shaking pictures on the wall start rattling, adding to the mayhem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My beautiful new cover is by @SashaLeighS. Check out her amazing story, "Casting Power" a Wattpad featured story, #1 in Hex, and chosen for Wattpad's Up and Coming List!Complete
Blood and Apples: An Annora Park Novel: Book One
Moments; singular, siphoned, like grains of sand which fall restlessly, and build without limits...growing with increasing momentum, each step, beat, a steady staccato , marking down the minutes until the cold inevitability of the ...end ...death. Moments...it's all anyone has. Life is a false illusion. Death is cold reality. I am a Treader. I deal in the currency of death, and I know everything there is to know about it's cold worth. I am useful, never loved. I am used, never thanked. I am need, want, and lust....but never needed or wanted. I am never fulfilled. I am never to know human happiness. I have accepted my designed fate. Why then am I being tested now?? What will happen if I give in to the temptation I know will be my undoing? What will happen if I give in...and love? What will my failure bring...and may those above and below have mercy on all souls, for when the Treader of death falls for life... Worlds End. Tomorrow's Blues
~"You don't- you don't need me." I stared in shock. This was the first shred of emotion he'd shown since he started avoiding me, and I had no idea how to respond. What was I supposed to say to something like that? So I let myself be honest, and I told him exactly how I felt. "But I do." I almost choked on my words. "I do need you. I can't talk to anybody else. I can't eat. I can't sleep. And I know you know what that's like."~ Liliana is now an orphan. Just 17 years old, she lost her parents in a boating accident and now she must live with her best friend, her best friend's parents and her best friend's brother, Joseph. She struggles through her grief as well as dealing with the mysterious but obnoxious Joseph, and it soon comes to light that he isn't the only one around her keeping secrets. Living under the same roof, tensions arise, and Liliana begins to discover that a perfect family may not be so perfect after all." If you like a good old slowburn, enemies (ish) to lovers, bonding over tragic backstories type beat then this story is for you, I promise :) #1 in #bestfriendsbrother (didn't note the exact date - some time in January 2021) #1 in #dealing with death (11/04/21) amazing cover by @sixty6ix !!Complete
