Everything was supposed to be okay. Dean had endured the breakup of the Avengers, imprisonment on The Raft, and evasion of the authorities. He survived enslavement on Sakaar, facing off against the goddess of death, and the destruction of Asgard. And when the dust had settled, he was on a ship bound for home and finally back in the arms of Thor. In the aftermath of such intense events, Dean had assumed he and Thor would finally have a chance to breathe.

But the cosmic threat that has been looming overhead has finally revealed itself. Thanos, the great Titan who has slaughtered millions in the name of balance, has his sights set on the Infinity Stones. Armed with these six powerful relics of the universe, he seeks to carry out his genocidal mission on a universal scale, snuffing out as much life as he wants.

With such unparalleled danger threatening all he knows and loves, Dean will have to find the courage within him if he wants to survive this Infinity War.

Having recently confronted the reality of their relationship, Thor and Dean opt to forge ahead, leaving the concerns of immortality for another day. Despite the doubts he has about the future Odin has plotted for him, Thor departs to carry out his mission to bring peace to the realms and become King of Asgard. But when Dean comes into contact with an ancient, powerful force- an interaction that would kill an ordinary mortal- questions begin to rise about Dean's mortality. Thor brings him to Asgard with the hope that his people will be able to help. With Odin urging Thor to leave the mortal behind and an evil older than the universe perched to destroy all, Thor is forced to take great risk to save the realms and his love. This is a retelling of Thor: The Dark World. If it looks familiar it is not mine. It is not intended to be a mirror image of the film. Several liberties are taken, especially in regard to Thor's sexuality. This story, like the others in the series, heavily features homosexuality and all of its trappings.
