The unthinkable has happened. The Avengers lost. Thanos used the Infinity Stones to bring the balance he felt was needed to the universe, resulting in the death of half of the universe's population. Fractured, the surviving Avengers struggle together and alone to pick up the pieces of their lives. 

Unable to accept that this is the reality of their lives, they have come together, one more time, with the hope of correcting a failure that has haunted them for five long years.

Stolen by Hydra, an organization bent on world domination, the scepter has been used in their experiments on human test subjects.
