Malia Pierce was a girl that was used to broken promises and lies. Look at her family. Her father is Sirius Black, a murderer and her Mum is barely home. Who would ever love a girl like her? Her parents don't even love her enough to stick around. All people do is leave her, until she meets two red-haired twins that are persistently not leaving her alone. Slowly and eventually changing her views on life.
Her Mum did tell her that if she ever gets sad or lonely she should just look up at the stars and the people she loves will be watching over her, so even though they are gone they are never really gone. But, maybe the reason why there are so many stars is because everyone she loves dies.
