I was 3. My mum had been away a lot, my dad always said she was sick. I just thought she had a cold. My mum was never home. One day I asked my dad, "Why is mommy always busy? My dad started to cry. "What's wrong?" I would say. My dad said that mum was going to a place where she was going to be happy. I looked around the room hoping to see her. It was just dad and I. My dad tried to get off the topic every time I brought it up. Dad wanted me to be happy. I tried to be happy, but it was impossible without mum. It was about a month before my 4th birthday when my dad got a call. He picked me and my sister up and rushed to the car. We were at the hospital and my dad told us to stay with the ladies behind the desk. About 10 minutes went by and my dad came out and brought us in. I saw my mum. I ran to her and she softly grabbed me and my sisters hand and said she loved us and wanted us to take care of daddy. I didn't understand why she was saying that. She would be home soon, right? No

"Thanks Ally." I grabbed all the flowers then ran back to the car. I drove to the grave. I threw all my stuff into my bag. I grabbed the flowers and I pulled my bag over my shoulder and got out. I looked around and saw people young and old coming here to see their loved ones. I saw my families graves. Almost my whole family will be buried here. My grandpa always said it was sacred. I put the Cosmos on my dad's grave. The Daises on my grandmothers and the Roses on my grandpas. I talked and talked to them till I pull my pack of cigarettes out of my bag along with a lighter. The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?"
