Death of the Roots (Doctor Who) Chapter 1

The TARDIS lands in a rainforest, but it's not Earth. Something's wrong with the trees, one by one dying without any obvious reason why. So the Doctor and Donna might as well investigate whilst they are there.
Meanwhile, a young girl tries to escape her stiff and royal upbringing to experience the real world, but in trying to reach reality is she putting herself in danger?

Note: I wrote this a while ago for a short story competition, it's only really the first chapter of a longer story. Hope you like it! (I've had to split it into lots of little parts because otherwise, it would have been one stupidly long part).
