A man who has lost his entire family must live with the fact that there was nothing he could do to save them.

The plane crash was two years ago, but Thomas Wood can't come to terms with the loss of his wife and 11-year-old daughter. He must continue to go to work every day, and face the ridicule of his tormenting workmates. To him, he has nothing left to live for anymore, and he contemplates suicide almost every day.

Only his father-in-law, Robert, won't allow such actions, and visits Thomas almost every other day. Together, they share their grief, but that only makes Thomas realize more how much he misses them. It only makes him realize more that all that he loved in life is now gone.

Until one day, one horribly rainy day, Thomas sees an orphaned little girl and her dog on the street. Dressed in a raggedy raincoat three sizes too big for her and red rubber boots, this little girl and her mutt will forever change his life when he asks her name and she replies, "Rain."

COMPLETED Living a life you didn't sign up for is hard, but doing so while feeling lost is harder. Dylan Amity is a musical prodigy. He could play a range of instruments, from the electric guitar to his violin. He lived, ate, and breathed music and was on track to becoming the orchestra's lead violinist. He was ready to become one of history's best composers. But he decided to place his dreams on hold for a while when he found out that his dad, the CEO of Amity Industry, was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. His dad's death was expected, but the way he died wasn't. After the reading of the will, Dylan is faced with the harsh reality that you don't always get what you want. Following a short period of grief, Dylan is thrust into a world of business, responsibilities, and guardianship. He never wanted to be CEO, but now he has to because it's what his dad wanted. He also never expected to be Amber's, his thirteen-year-old sister's, legal guardian. Dylan has to put his dreams aside as he learns to navigate his new life without any experience of being a CEO or a guardian. Without a guide, Dylan is bound to feel lost, but maybe Rose could help. Maybe she could teach him how to deal with it. ••• Sneak Peek: "You know what, Amber? At least I'm fucking trying!" I gritted out, meeting her eyes that practically blazed with fury. "Yeah! Trying to act like papa. But guess what, Dylan, you never cared about me or what I did!" She screamed, taking steps back towards the stairs. "You never cared when I was a baby, you didn't care when I was a toddler, and guess what! You don't care now. You're only pretending to care to make yourself feel better. But you don't! No one fucking cares."

"Being mute isn't a disability. It just means that God loves you so much that He took away your voice so that you don't hurt others verbally. You see, He doesn't want you to do what others are doing to you." ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ When Sierra Bloom suffers a tragedy that costs her both her family and her voice, she shuts down every bit of emotion and passion within her and brings out a new and cold her that doesn't like being around people and things that are easy to get attached to. Enter David Hale. Cheerful, bright, friendly -a shocking contrast to her cold, closed off personality. Not only does David do things she dislikes, he also does not know when to give up on her. What is Sierra supposed to do when he keeps bringing out the old her and makes her forget the tragedy she caused? The answer is obvious; shut him out and run away. That's the solution.... right? ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ This book was written in 2013, back when I was still pretty much a kid. It hasn't been edited and there are many issues I find with it. I may or may not edit//re-write, but if I do I don't think I'll post it here. At least, for now. In any case, the person I was then is not the person I am now lmaoo but I'm still proud of younger me for this cute little thing. I love all my lovely, LOVELY readers who have sent me such beautiful messages about this book ♥ Thank you for loving my book, it means the world to me. ⌔ - 2023 Update ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ Achievements: General Fiction: #81 Romance: #186 Kisses: #4 ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ All Rights Reserved.
