One second too late and she would have been slathered on the concrete cobblestones below. My knife to her throat as she silently struggled "What the hell are you-" she quietly tried to whisper. I was compressing her throat so tightly from behind that she stopped trying to speak. At that moment I was considering letting her speak her final words. I loosened my grip on her for a moment. She made a choking sound and tried to turn her head to look at her attacker. Eyes widened in recognition, "Salem-" she occluded as I had enough and plunged my beautiful dagger into her throat. I let her still warm body drop to the ground, she was still writhing and trying to scream as she drowned in her own blood.
