Kaya recently lost everything - her brother, sister, mother, and father. She was left no choice but to move in with her cousin Scott and Aunt Melissa, who she hadn't seen in over five years. She hated high school already and was nervous to start at Beacon Hills her sophomore year... She thought her biggest problem would be finding her classes but it turns out she has much stranger things to worry about. Her cousin has a huge secret - he is a werewolf. She quickly becomes wrapped up in the world of the supernatural and finds unexpected friendships along the way. She faces many challenges alongside Scott and those newfound friends, especially Stiles, who she begins to fall for despite promising herself to lay low and stay out of relationships. The group desperately tries to save the town over and over while still experiencing the highs and lows of high school.
