"Don't tell me you have feelings for the guy!" he growled into my face, clenching my neck tighter against the wall.

"Of course not," I spit back through clenched teeth, trying to ignore the crushing of my esophagus under his grip.

"I just don't think he's the one you want."

"I'll be the judge of that," he threatened, his eyes going back and forth between mine. "Now leave, I have business to attend to."

He released my throat from his grasp and i fell to the floor to catch my breath. My eyes trailed to his as he bent down to meet my face.

"Come back with the boy or there will be consequences- even for you, Azla."

Black cats watch people both on the streets and in homes, reporting to Lucifer those who will join him upon death. They watch, they listen, and when it's your time they will tell of all the bad things you've done do their master.

There is a cat with green eyes and she shape-shifts as she pleases. Her name is Azla and she loves sending people to the underworld, that is until some boy from the streets of New York saves her- making her his pet through ancient ritual. While at first he seems as just another bad boy, she soon realizes that there's a heart of gold underneath his rough exterior. Faced with sending him to Hell for eternity, Azla is caught up between doing what she wants and doing what she must, all while trying to manage her shape-shifting.
