There's many secrets the girls have to find out while going through high school, and there's a few secrets the girls have to keep as well. Piper never believed in true love, since every boyfriend or girlfriend she ever had ruined their relationship by cheating or simply dumping the girl when they were no longer satisfied with their relationship.
