Nani is a 25 year old Jamaican-American paramedic who moves back to NY after experiencing a tragic loss. She spent the last six months visiting family in Florida after graduating med school. Her best friends from childhood, Ari and Desiree live in NY and decide that a road trip would be the best way to bring Nani back to NY as they all move into their new apartment together. Arielle and Desiree are Nani's best friends. Arielle is a 26 year old licensed aesthetician and lash tech who owns her own beauty spa. Desiree is a 26 year old with her masters in social work. Winston aka Win is a 27 year old first year resident and an old classmate of Nani's from med school that became more than a friend soon before and after graduating. They were planning to move in together during their residency until Nani goes to visit her mother in Florida and ghosts him for 6 months. When she's faced with the person she abandoned she is forced to face her pain and anxieties head on. Read as she, Win, and their four roommates being first generation Caribbean-Americans navigate their careers, life, and love all while bonding over a multi-identity.
