The Broken Girl and the Hunter (A Dean Winchester X Reader Fic)

(I don't own Supernatural or any of the characters)

"I'm not usually the type of person who likes to share his feelings and all that crap." Dean said softly, looking into my eyes. "But ever since I met you, I've felt the need to protect you. You're not like any other girl I've met. You're strong and beautiful. And when I'm with you, I feel whole."

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked, somewhat confused.

He hesitated.

"Dean, tell me." I insisted.

"Because I'm in love with you." He told me.

I just stared at him for a moment, not knowing what to say. His eyes narrowed, and he turned and started to walk away.

"Forget it." He said with an edge to his voice. "I shouldn't have told you. It was stupid to bring it up."

"Dean, wait." I said quickly, following after him, but he ignored me. "DEAN!"

He finally stopped, but kept his back to me.

"What?" He whispered.

"It's not stupid." I said. "You know why?"

"Why?" He asked.

I moved so I was facing him and placed my hand on his cheek. Then, I gently pressed my lips to his.

"Does that answer your question?" I asked softly with a smile after pulling away.

Y/N L/N is a normal college girl. She has a loving boyfriend, good grades, a good job working as a veterinary assistant, and is majoring in Biology.

But that all changes one night after she comes home and finds someone in the apartment she shares with Jason, her boyfriend. The intruder, a shapeshifter, tells Y/N that he's been waiting for her, and attacks her.

An hour later, Jason, who turns out to be a friend of Sam and Dean Winchester, comes home to find Y/N unconscious on the floor. He calls the brothers and tells them to come to the apartment, since they were in the area on a hunt. They tell him they'll be there as soon as possible, but then Jason is attacked as well.

Sam and Dean make it to the apartment, only to find Jason dead and the shapeshifter standing over Y/N holding a bloody knife.
