Growing up, Brooklyn's mother taught her to never let a boy be her main focus--let alone control her mind or decisions . There is a scholarship to the best dance school in the country with "Brooklyn Lenae Carter" written all over it. Living up to her mother's expectations, Brooklyn risks losing one of the two things that make her happiest while keeping that thing results in losing the other. The Books vs. The Boy "Distractions are failures in disguise." I continued to scan the page as I tapped my pen against my teeth. "Sometimes you have to fail in order to succeed." He slammed my book shut causing me to glare up at him. "You have officially lost your damn mind." "I was hoping you could help me find it."

High school was hard, but college is even harder. Jack's coping with his break up while also balancing all his classes and it's actually quite hard for him to keep up. But he has to study and keep his grades up to keep his scholarship. This was not what he had in mind at all when planning for college, but this was the hand he was given. It didn't look like he was winning this game. Alex's experience was almost the exact opposite. He was actually doing really well in the majority of his classes. He'd taken a liking specifically to his music class and also was reunited with a certain someone from his high school days. Things were steady for him, but some people just say it's the quiet before a storm. {Sequel to TMYLM}
