Ashes of the End | Destiel
Ten years after the world fell to fire and death, the apocalypse ends as suddenly as it began. The monsters and hordes of undead vanish without explanation, leaving behind a broken earth and the survivors who endured it. For Dean Winchester, who spent the decade locked away in a bunker with his brother, Sam, freedom feels like both a gift and a curse.
On one of their first supply runs into the silent new world, Dean crosses paths with Castiel and his young nephew, Jack. Haunted by instinct, Dean knows better than to trust strangers, but something about the quiet strength in Cas's eyes won't let him walk away. Against every rule he's set for survival, Dean takes them in, convinced he has to protect them.
Together, the four set out across the wasteland in search of food, shelter, and maybe even a place to call home. But rebuilding a life after the end of the world is harder than surviving it, and Dean soon learns that some bonds are worth more than walls and weapons.
