This is a soulmate AU. How it works is when you are a young child, you are sent into a lab for testing. when you come out, you are given 2 watches. One for the amount of time until you meet your soulmate, and one for how much time you've spent with them. The way you find out who exactly your soulmate is is when you kiss them. When you kiss your soulmate, you feel some sort of electrical current run through your body, then your watches are programmed to stop working.

So one day in high school, half of the class's first timer goes off. Will they all find their soulmates? Or will they be alone forever?

Okay, so this is another soulmate AU. Surprise surprise. It's the soul string AU, where everyone has a magical string tied to their ring finger. The other end of the string is tied to the ring finger of their soulmate. Every time the two people are close, their soul strings will tense up and start dragging them towards each other. When they touch for the first time, the soul string will disappear until they kiss. If your soulmate is in really really bad emotional or physical pain, your soul string shows up black; just as a little bow around your finger. This story is loosely made for the AU, but it isn't a big part of the story. The mentions of the soul strings pop up sometimes, but that's not all they talk about.
