Disclaimer- This story is based on ancient Egypt, but the Horrids are not real.
Discription- Kuaa values 15-year-old Seth more than 15-year-old Zahra or 14 years old Chione. With their precious father, Ain, gone, Kuaa can do mostly whatever she wants. She apprenticed Seth to Tai's goldsmith shop like Ain was, and Chione + Zahra to the Queen's very own palace, as a baker/servant, but that is not what Chione and Zahra want. They have always had a strong passion for fighting, even though fighting was a men's spot. "Merciful Osiris! Did you just say what I think you said?!" was the reaction they got every time they mentioned it. At the palace kitchen, they meet Nuru, a girl with similar ambitions and upbringings. Conflict is starting to rise with Egypt and the Mysterious Horrids, who apparently appeared out of thin air. Nobody knows who they are, but in some ancient texts, it said the the Horrids were the most powerful being in this world. The Horrids have started to attack homes in Thebes! While Zahra, Nuru, and Chione go to the river to collect paprus, the Horrids attack them and the people around the. The Queen and her gaurds are summoned. When Queen Hatshepsut witnesses Zahra and Chione fighting to save Nuru, who was dying at the hands of Horrids, she knew that they had skill. She understood their conflict, how they were not a boy, but still freed them from their slavery, made them look like men, and sent them to be trained from a war official, Kai. At first they were scorned at, but they quickly and efficiently become the highest and best war officials there are, legends, out of all the men and adults, claiming to be Isis's very own children. The damage they did quickly caught the eye of the Horrids. Not long after, Chione goes missing. Queen Hatshepsut is in a rage, those 3 were like her own daughters! Nuru suspects Seth has something to do with it. Will the girls be able to rescue Chione and find out who's behind this attack?Or ill the Horrids take over Egypt?
