It's so difficult to write about the book without giving so much away!
All I can say is Lily, a 16 year old girl, is just starting out at college. Her mum abandoned her leaving her with her dad Jason, but when Jason remarries Tamara, a gold digging blonde who hates Lily, her life changes for the worse. Lily gains 3 new stepbrothers Benji, Jack, and Sam who are the spawns of the devil, going to college is her only escape from her crazy home life, but college isn't much better she has a strict teacher who strongly suggests Lily takes a career in classical piano playing when all she wants to do is sing. Her 3 friends on the course Joe, Sarah and Melody come to the rescue, they all start a band which fuels Miss Galloway's fury. With the evil eyes of Elsie the courses 'rich bitch' , Lily is always under attack, but luck might just be on her side when stranger Leo turns up 2 weeks after the course starts and shakes things up around the college campus. With all this going on it leads Lily to the question Is This Life? Or are things about to get a lot better..
